01.07.2021: “Resilience in Interfaith Settings” – Interactive Live-Talk with Rabbi Yehuda Sarna

For many individuals around the globe the last one and a half years were oftentimes marked by stress, anxiety and hardship. The different societal disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of mental health and cultivating healthy practices.

Therefore the Global Jewish Leadership Programme initiated a series of Online-Talks: “Resilience in Times of Crisis“ is about the ability to bounce back from difficult or painful situations. Renowned international academics and rabbis explore strategies, challenges and possibilities of resilience from a Jewish perspective.

“Resilience” holds a particular significance in Jewish history and expresses itself in manifold ways such as religious faith, cultural practices, art and music. But what does being resilient mean – both in past and present times? What cultural practices have been derived from the aftermath of historical events and can these types of resilience that were built then relate to our present times? These and other questions will be discussed with our guests and the audience in the format of interactive Live-Talks on YouTube.

On July 1st at 8 PM Jo Frank, Managing Director of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk, talks with Rabbi Yahuda Sarna about “Resilience in Interfaith Settings”.

The talk will be in English and live-streamed on YouTube. Questions can be submitted through the chat function.
