The Advisory Board

The board of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk e.V. appoints renowned Jewish public figures as well as Jewish university professors as members of the Advisory Board for a period of two years. Appointments can be made at any time, but require a two-thirds majority of the members of the association.

The Advisory Board advises the Studienwerk in the areas of higher education policy, development of Jewish life, on the intellectual programme, as well as the selection process, and is limited to 25 members when possible. The two spokespersons for the scholarship holders are voting members of the advisory board. Members of the association cannot be members of the advisory board at the same time. The members of the association have the right to attend the meetings of the advisory board but are not entitled to vote.

The advisory board elects a chairperson and two deputies. The chairperson of the advisory board has the right to attend meetings of the association, but is not entitled to vote. The Advisory Council shall adopt its own rules of procedure. The Advisory Board elect members from their ranks to the Programme Committee, the Selection Committee, and the Committee of Councellors.

The Managing Director regularly informs the Advisory Board about the activities of the Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk.
